  • Attention Seniors. Don't forget to buy your project prom tickets. Price is $55. Contracts are available in the office and during some B and C lunches. Your money can always be turned into the purple box anytime located in the front office.
  • Balfour will be on campus during all lunches to take letter jacket orders on April 24th and 25th. See your coach or sponsor for questions.
  • Congratulations to the Lady Falcons Track Team who finished 5th in the Area Meet yesterday. We scored points in every race as Alexa Granderson, A'rshanae Smith, Jamaiah Satra, Briana Peguero, Creshaun Cresser, and Cydni Miller all qualified for the Regional Meet next Friday and Saturday at Turner Stadium.
  • Do you owe money to the library? Between now and Friday April 27th, ALL LIBRARY FINES are half price! Come by the library to pay. This deal is for LIBRARY fines only.
  • If you are interested in welding at Jersey Village please pick up a letter or interest packet from Mr. Pearson in the Welding Shop room 1814. All packets must be returned by today April 20. Welding is filling up so get yours in today.
  • Seniors: If your prom date is a non-Jersey Village senior, you must submit a completed date form to your house office. Forms are located in the house offices and at the front desk. The price of the date’s ticket depends upon when you paid for your fees.
  • Students, Please check with your teachers and online to see if you owe fines and fees. It is important that you clear your fines and fees. Teachers will continue to input fines and fees until April 27th so check weekly for updates.
  • Students, Please remember to obtain a bright yellow tutorial pass from your teacher during the school day if you are staying on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. Students with tutorial passes need to be in tutorials by 2:50. Students in the hallways after 2:50 will be asked to leave.
  • The Technology Student Association – TSA – received 1ST place overall at State Contest in Ft Worth this week. Individual projects received 27 -1st place, 12 – 2nd place, 2 – 3rd place and 5 - 4th place. Mr. Lujan with the Animation team and Mr. Pearson with the Welding team are really proud of all the students. They worked really hard to achieve these awards. 
  • Today we recognize San Jacinto Day: “On April 21st, 1836, Mexican rule over Texas came dramatically close at San Jacinto, near the city of Houston, when the Mexican forces were defeated by Sam Houston and his army.”
  • “Congratulations to the JVHS Varsity orchestra for a very successful performance yesterday! The orchestra earned sweepstakes at the UIL concert and sight-reading competition. Fabulous job falcons!”
  • Jersey Voltage is competing at the world competition of robotics this weekend with over 400 other robotics teams from around the world. The event will be held at the George R Brown today and tomorrow and is free to the public. Come join us in cheering for our team.

  • Athletic & band physicals will be held next Thursday 4/19 for participation in next year’s activities. Anyone wanting to get their physical done that day should show up to the large commons immediately afterschool. The cost is $20 and you must have the Houston Methodist permission slip signed by your parent in order to have your physical done that day. You can pick up forms from your coach or in athletic training room.
  • Athletic Physicals are today at JVHS immediately afterschool. Report to the Main Commons with $20 and the Houston Methodist permission slip signed by your parent in order to have your physical done. 
  • Attention Seniors – If you are interested in being the student speaker during graduation, please come by the V House office to receive a criteria sheet and sign up. Auditions will be held on Monday April 23, at 3:00 p.m. If you have any questions please see Mr. Ray or Ms. Sneed.

  • Aloha Falcons! Next Saturday April 7th, The Jersey Village Clubs are hosting OHANATHON! Ohanathon is a charitable event to celebrate a yearlong fundraiser towards the Children’s Miracle Network, which directly funds our Texas Children’s Hospitals! It will be a day filled with dancing, games, and sports! Make sure to sign up at goo.gl/KeH8iY! #forthekids Aloha and See You There!

  • Congratulations to the Speech & Debate Team. Joseph Flores qualified for Nationals for the World’s Team yesterday. He will be joining Sam Gross this summer in Ft. Lauderdale for the National Speech and Debate Tournament. Great way to end the season!
  • District Finals were held Wednesday and Thursday for the junior varsity Lady Falcons Track Team. Our team finished in the top half District 17-6A in 5th place overall. Highlighting the meet for the Lady Falcons was a new sub-varsity record in the 400 meters by Victoria Ho, who placed third. Coming off a season low time in the 4x200 meter relay, Anaya Bell and Cora Hendrix finished 3rd and 5th respectively in the 200 meter dash. Both Anaya and Cora accomplished personal bests in the 200, as did Kerrion Johnson also in the 200 and also Megan Kopesky and Kaitlyn Lacy in the Long Jump. We are proud of the Lady Falcons for finished in the top half of the district and wish to thank all of you for your support throughout the season. Now come cheer on the Varsity next week as they compete in District Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday here at Jersey Village!
  • Do you want to be a Gold Duster Manager for the 18-19 school year??? Stop by the dance room and pick up a packet today! Complete applications are due April 10th. 
  • If you are interested in welding, please turn in your letter of interest to Mr. Pearson 1814 as soon as possible! Spaces are filling up fast!
  • Listen up Interactors! The next Interact general meeting will be held Wednesday, April 11, in room 2452. Hope to see you there!
  • Listen up juniors, Have you heard about the Co-op Program...It’s very similar to a paid internship . If You have At least one ‘Business’ credit. If You have room in your schedule for 3 electives next school year. If You have reliable transportation . Stop by Mrs. Ayodele’s room……2044 for additional information.
  • Senior Spotlight is today. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Seniors who have paid their senior fees are admitted for free. For everyone else, the price is $5.00.

  • All students: ! Pay your fees or fines early and avoid the long lines at the end of the semester! They must be paid before you may pick up your exemption card! 
  • Seniors: Prom night is right around the corner, please pay for your ticket, so the sponsors can pay the bills!
  • Seniors: Senior Awards will occur on May 7 and it is by invitation only. Scholarship recognition is a part of the celebration. You will be receiving a scholarship form in your Government/Eco class to complete with all scholarships you have been offered. Please return it to Mrs. Yerkes.
