  • Attention JVHS students! JVTV is inviting you to come out and watch the best videos of the year on Friday, May 18th at 7:00 pm in the JVHS Auditorium. Tickets are $5.00 and are being sold by every member of JVTV, in room 1588 or you can buy them at the door. Food and drinks will also be available to purchase. There's no better way to spend a Friday night than with good friends and good movies!
  • Do not delay. Please pay your fees and fines as soon as possible! Senior exemption cards will be distributed in the ensemble room starting on Thursday, May 17th. Underclassmen may pick theirs up starting on May 24th.
  • JV’s Students of the Week for May 14 are Brian Hales, Katie Gill, Edgard Castillo, and Deven Eng. Please see Mr. Jurkovich in room 1327 to claim your prize.
  • Let’s get ready to rrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmbbbbbblllllle! It’s that time again. The old guys versus the young guys. Old school versus new school. Lit versus hip! Powerade versus Geritol. The seniors versus the faculty. Come see your favorite seniors take on your favorite faculty members. Come to cheer...or come to jeer. Annual Seniors versus the Faculty Basketball game. Tuesday, May 15th at 3:30 in the performance gym. *Late bus will not be provided.
  • May 11 is LAST day of open registration for original credit (never taken the course) Summer School Courses (to guarantee course enrollment). May 31 is last day to register at JVHS for Make-Up Credit (failed a course). Cash, Cashier’s Check or Money Order will ONLY be accepted. 
  • Pay your fines and fees asap! Senior exemption cards may be picked up starting on Thursday, May 17 at 7 am in the ensemble room. Seniors, if your name appears on the new fines and fees list that is posted on May 16, you will need a colored receipt to get your exemption card so pay early!
  • Spanish Native Speakers can obtain credit for Spanish 2 and for Spanish 3 in ONE year when they register for Spanish 2 Native Speakers class!!! To be eligible to be in that class, a student must pass the Native Speakers Placement test, which will be administered on Tuesday May 15th in the library to begin during 2nd period. If you want to take it, please go to Mr. Trejo's room 1442 to tell him today." 
  • Summer School applications are available for Original and Make-Up credit at Counselors’ corner and House offices. 
  • The Jersey Village Advanced Fashion students will be hosting the annual fashion show next Tuesday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $3.00 in room 1547. Tickets will also be sold during all lunches. Come and support your fellow Fashion Falcons. This will be a night to remember.

  • Guitar Club will have its final meeting of the year on Wednesday afternoon in Mr. Daniel’s room. (1584). Hope a lot of you can attend!
  • If you will be 18 years old by July 8, are a US citizen and a resident of Harris County you may be eligible to register to vote. The League of Women Voters will be holding a voter registration drive on Tuesday, May 8 in all Government and Economics classes. Please have your driver’s license number or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number for identification purposes. If you’re not currently enrolled in a Government or Economics class but meet the qualifications, please stop by a Gov/Eco room on May 8 to register. 
  • JV’s Students of the Week for May 7 Monica Tapia , Jenny Le, Brody Bolado, and Yazan Bisher. Please see Mr. Jurkovich in room 1327 to claim your prize.
  • Listen up Interactors! The next Interact general meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, May 9, in room 2452. Need a few more hours? Bring a snack to share and some shoes to donate. Hope to see you there!

  • The library will be closed for testing next Monday-Thursday. Books can be turned in and fines can be paid in the morning or at lunch in the J House hallway while the library is closed.

  • 2023 class, it's that time to vote for your 2019 class officers. If your interested in being an officer for the class of 2019, please stop by Room 1134 to pick up your application. voting will start May the 7th-the 11th!"
  • If you are interested in taking welding next year please pick up and turn in your letter of interest to Mr. Pearson in the welding shop, room 1814. Turn in date has been extended until Friday May 4th.

  • Still want to learn about our winning robotics team? It’s never too late to join. The Texas State Robotics competition will be May 17th-19th and we’d love to have you there with us. NO EXPERIENCE with robots is needed. See Mrs. Chen in room 2307 in the Science wing for more information.

  • We want you on the yearbook or newspaper staff next year. Join us and write, photograph, and or design. There is still time to make that decision. Come by the journalism room 1720 or see your counselor.
