In mid-July, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD will email letters inviting parents/guardians to access the parent portal in our Home Access Center (HAC) and complete the required updates for students who were enrolled and active in CFISD on the last day of school and will be returning to CFISD for the 2024-25 school year. The last day to complete the annual student information update is Thursday, August 8, 2024.
This summer, beginning June 9, free, nutritious breakfasts and lunches will be offered to children 18 and under at select school locations. All meal sites will be open Monday through Thursday and will be closed on June 19.
July 7, 2025—The CFISD athletic department has announced its ticketing procedures for the 2025 varsity football season, with season ticket renewals beginning July 7.

June 4, 2025—The 12 CFISD graduation ceremonies held at the Berry Center from May 28-31 produced a total of 9,550 graduates for the class of 2025.
A mobile service program provided to select schools throughout the district to encourage literacy. Students are provided an opportunity to check out library books, acquire free books for their own collections, receive a snack, and occasionally listen to books read aloud.

May 22, 2025—Audio Video Production (AVP) students from Cypress Woods and Jersey Village high schools placed second and third, respectively, in the sixth annual Crime Stoppers of Houston School PSA Video Contest.

May 15, 2025—Jersey Village High School senior Daniela Palmeros tied for sixth place at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Golf State Tournament on April 28-29 at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown.
May 12, 2025—CFISD Science Olympiad teams performed well at the Texas Science Olympiad, held on April 11-12 in College Station.
May 8, 2025—CFISD athletes claimed two state championships and 11 total medals from the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Track and Field Meet, held May 1-3 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

Jan. 16, 2025—Cypress Park High School senior Nicole Lee is among the top 3% of students nationwide to earn the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) Premier Distinction Degree, which is the highest degree a student can earn as a member of the NSDA Honor Society. Lee joins Cy-Fair High School senior Avery McSwain and Jersey Village High School seniors Charlie Barry, Jason Brown and Joscelin Topete in attaining the honor.
Jan. 15, 2025—Ten CFISD dance students representing 10 high schools were selected for the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) All-State Dance Team at the 2025 state convention, held at the Marriott Marquis Houston Jan. 8-10.
Jan. 10, 2025—Six CFISD seniors were recently selected as 2024 QuestBridge Match Scholarship recipients.
Dec. 19, 2024—Levelle Norris, interim campus athletic coordinator and head football coach at Jersey Village High School, has been named Jersey Village High School campus athletic director and head football coach. Norris was named interim athletic coordinator and head football coach after Coach David Snokhous retired in April.

Dec. 17, 2024—More than 140 CFISD high school theatre arts students received superior ratings at the 2024 Texas Thespian Festival, held Nov. 15-18 in Corpus Christi and Nov. 20-23 in Grapevine.
Dec. 10, 2024—Jersey Village High School senior Briseyda Covarrubias decorated a holiday ornament that has made its way to the State Capitol. The senior painted an ornament that will represent Texas District 138 and State Rep. Lacey Hull on the 23-foot Christmas tree in the House Chamber of the Texas Capitol during the holiday season.
Dec. 6, 2024—Eighteen CFISD water polo athletes earned All-Region honors and accolades for the 2024-2025 school year from the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA).
Dec. 4, 2024—Fifty-two CFISD water polo athletes earned Academic All-State honors and accolades for the 2024-2025 school year from the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA).
Dec. 3, 2024—CFISD basketball coaches have released the finalized bracket for the 15th annual Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational, to be held Dec. 12-14 at three CFISD high schools and the Berry Center.

Nov. 26, 2024—The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) named CFISD a 2024 District of Distinction award winner, marking the fourth time the district has earned the prestigious designation. CFISD is among only 96 districts in the state to earn this award.
Nov. 15, 2024—Fifty CFISD athletes joined others across the country in signing letters of intent to participate in collegiate athletics during the early signing period, which started on Nov. 13.
Nov. 4, 2024—The District 16-6A and District 17-6A volleyball seasons ended on Oct. 29 with five CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL Class 6A playoffs.
District 16-6A water polo coaches recently released the 2024 All-District 16-6A Water Polo Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
Eleven CFISD water polo teams advanced past the bi-district round of the Class 6A playoffs and move on to the area round, while the girls’ teams from Langham Creek and Cypress Lakes high schools and the boys’ teams from Bridgeland, Cypress Springs and Cypress Lakes high schools concluded their seasons and finished as bi-district finalists.
The District 20-6A and District 16-6A water polo seasons ended on Oct. 2 with 16 CFISD teams qualifying for the UIL playoffs.
Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents. The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class.
